My path to Health
Picture this: A 20-year-old musician, naive in thinking athletes were the only ones at risk of losing college scholarships, learns that she’s developed carpal tunnel. The doctor gave two options; surgery or quit playing and lose everything. Talk about a plot twist!
I couldn’t fathom having surgery that I thought should only be for old people after years of typing. So, I lost my scholarship, stopped playing music, ending up dropping out of college, and began taking prescription pain meds.
It was until I took the advise of an old teacher who mentioned how massage therapy had helped her pain. After months of regular massage, swelling decreased, pain improved, my chronic migraines became less frequent and next thing I knew, I was on a healing journey that transformed my outlook on life!
Fast forward to 2018 where the receiver became the giver. I was finally in a mental and emotional place where I felt confident to start providing care to others. I became a licensed massage therapist and certified reiki healer. Yes, the granddaughter of a Navy Doctor dove deep into the energy side of healing!
With my Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health from ASU, I now dance between the realms of Western and Eastern medicine. Every day in my practice feels like a rewarding adventure, helping others find their own paths to wellness.
